Status · dipstick.tools

Service status

This page reports the small number of services a Dipstick purchase depends on. The app itself does not depend on any of them to keep working — meters read local tools, and license verification is offline — so an outage here never stops a meter.

Not yet · status service not wired

There is no status service to read yet, so this page reports nothing rather than reporting that everything is fine.

When the licensing service ships, this line becomes a live reading with its own timestamp.

02 / 03 · Components

What this page will report.

Four components, each of which can fail independently and none of which can stop a meter.

Checkout — Creating a hosted Stripe Checkout session. Not wired
License activation — Issuing the signed offline entitlement after a purchase. Not wired
Purchase recovery — Re-issuing an entitlement from a short-lived email link. Not wired
Update feed — The published releases the app checks once a day. Not wired

Release publishing is tracked on the download page rather than here, because a build that has never existed is not an outage. The app’s own update check reads scottdflorida/dipstick-releases directly.

03 / 03 · Incidents and what to do now

Where incidents get posted, and who to tell.

Active incidents are posted here
When a component is degraded, this page carries the incident with a timestamp and what is affected. It will never carry an uptime percentage, because a number nobody is measuring is worse than no number.
