Set up Antigravity

Dipstick reads an owner-only local projection file written by a signed helper. That means the prerequisite is not an API key — it is that the tool itself is installed and already authenticated on this Mac.

Prerequisites

  • macOS 13 Ventura or newer, on Apple silicon or Intel.
  • Google Antigravity CLI installed and signed in, for the experimental local quota projection.

02 / 03 · Steps

Four steps to a live meter.

Step 1
Enable Antigravity on the first-launch provider screen and confirm the status-line change when asked. It is reversible.
Step 2
Use the official CLI until it emits a status-line quota payload — until then there is nothing to project.
Step 3
Choose Refresh. Dipstick rereads the local projection and lists the buckets it found.
Step 4
Place gemini-weekly where you want it and choose Finish.

Fast local checks identify which services are available before any authenticated tool, credential, subprocess or network request is used, so an unconfigured provider costs nothing.

03 / 03 · When it fails

Honest failure modes.

These are the ones you will actually hit, and what each one means.

Antigravity is connected but has no meters.
Use the official CLI until it emits a status-line quota payload, then choose Refresh. Refresh rereads the local projection and does not force a backend quota update.
You are looking for Gemini CLI usage.
Google retired Gemini CLI for individual and consumer accounts in June 2026. Use the Antigravity provider; its gemini-weekly meter covers Gemini-model quota for Antigravity accounts.
A bucket you expected is missing.
A bucket is rejected only when nothing usable survives — no positive reset window, or no readable name. Everything else becomes a bounded, labelled card.
